TP-Link Omada EAP772 BE9300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Ceiling Mount Access Point

The TP-Link Omada EAP772 is a high-performance BE9300 tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access point designed for modern homes, offices, hospitality venues, retail environments and high-density business networks. With support for 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz wireless bands, the EAP772 delivers a combined theoretical wireless rate of up to 10,654Mbps for next-generation connectivity.

The EAP772 takes advantage of Wi-Fi 7 technologies including Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 4K-QAM, 320MHz channels, MU-MIMO, OFDMA and BSS Colouring to improve wireless capacity, efficiency and performance with compatible client devices. Its 2.5Gbps Ethernet port provides a high-speed wired connection, while 802.3at PoE or DC power allows flexible installation.

Designed for ceiling or wall mounting, the EAP772 also integrates with the TP-Link Omada platform, providing centralised network management through compatible hardware, software or cloud-based controllers.

BE9300 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 7 Performance

The EAP772 supports three wireless frequency bands with the following maximum theoretical rates:

  • 2.4GHz: Up to 574Mbps

  • 5GHz: Up to 4320Mbps

  • 6GHz: Up to 5760Mbps

This gives a combined theoretical wireless rate of up to 10,654Mbps. Actual throughput will depend on client capabilities, network conditions, interference, channel availability, environmental factors and other variables.

Wi-Fi 7 Technologies

The EAP772 is designed to take advantage of key Wi-Fi 7 technologies, including MLO, 4K-QAM and EHT320. These features can improve wireless efficiency and performance when paired with compatible Wi-Fi 7 client devices.

Other wireless technologies include MU-MIMO, OFDMA, BSS Colouring, beamforming, airtime fairness, band steering and load balancing.

High-Speed 2.5G Wired Connectivity

A 2.5Gbps Ethernet port provides a high-speed wired uplink between the EAP772 and the network infrastructure. This helps reduce the bottleneck that can occur when a high-performance Wi-Fi access point is connected through a standard Gigabit Ethernet interface.

Flexible PoE+ or DC Power

The EAP772 supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ or 12V/2.5A DC power, allowing installers to choose the most suitable power method for the deployment.

With PoE+, network data and electrical power can be delivered through a single Ethernet cable, helping simplify ceiling installations.

Important: The power adapter is not included.

Omada Centralised Management

The EAP772 integrates with the TP-Link Omada ecosystem, allowing network administrators to manage compatible wireless infrastructure from a central platform.

Supported management options include:

  • Omada App

  • Omada Cloud-Based Controller

  • Omada Hardware Controller OC300

  • Omada Hardware Controller OC200

  • Omada Software Controller

  • Web-based management

  • SNMP v1/v2c/v3

  • Local and remote Syslog

  • Email alerts

  • LED on/off control

  • MAC access control

Cloud Access, Omada Mesh and other selected Omada features require a compatible Omada SDN controller.

Important Wi-Fi 7 Notes

The advertised wireless speeds are maximum theoretical physical-layer rates based on applicable IEEE 802.11 specifications. Actual wireless throughput, coverage and client capacity will vary depending on client hardware, network conditions, interference, building materials, obstacles, traffic levels, client location and other environmental factors.

The 320MHz channel width is available only on the 6GHz band and may be restricted or unavailable in some regions due to local regulations. Wi-Fi 7 features such as MLO, 320MHz bandwidth, 6GHz, 4K-QAM, MU-MIMO, OFDMA and BSS Colouring require compatible client devices.
