The Dahua DH-SDT4E425-8P-GB-APV1 is a high-performance X-Spans panoramic PTZ camera designed to provide wide-area surveillance and long-range detail monitoring from a single installation point. It combines an 8MP panoramic overview camera with a 4MP PTZ camera featuring 25× optical zoom, allowing users to maintain continuous situational awareness while zooming in on specific people, vehicles or events.

The panoramic channel uses a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor with a 2.8 mm F1.4 fixed lens to provide a true 180° horizontal field of view at up to 4096 × 1860 resolution. The detail channel features a 1/2.8" CMOS sensor and 5–125 mm motorised vari-focal lens, delivering 25× optical zoom and 16× digital zoom. At the 125 mm telephoto position, the camera provides DORI distances of up to 2,500 m for detection and 250 m for identification, making it suitable for large open areas and extended perimeter surveillance.

For low-light monitoring, the camera combines IR and warm-light illumination, with up to 30 m IR + 30 m white light on the panoramic channel and 100 m IR + 50 m warm light on the PTZ detail channel. The detail channel also features 120 dB True WDR and Electronic Image Stabilisation for improved image quality in challenging lighting and moving scenes.

Advanced Xinghan Large-Scale AI Models and WizSense technology provide intelligent perimeter protection, including tripwire, intrusion, crossing-fence, loitering, abandoned/missing object, fast-moving, parking and people-gathering detection. SMD 4.0 helps classify human activity and reduce unwanted alerts, while AcuPick and intelligent tracking provide faster target searching and response.

The X-Spans design also enables WizTracking, linkage tracking and relay tracking, allowing the PTZ channel to respond to targets detected by the panoramic channel and continue following them as they move outside the overview camera's field of view. With 300 presets, 8 tours, 5 patterns and 5 scans, the PTZ system provides extensive coverage and flexible patrol configuration.

Built-in TiOC active deterrence adds a visual and audible layer of protection. The camera provides red and blue warning lights with adjustable flash duration and frequency, together with 11 built-in sound alarms and support for 10 custom audio uploads. A built-in speaker enables audible warnings directly from the camera.

With PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) or 12 VDC power options, IP66 weather protection and TVS 6000 V lightning, surge and voltage-transient protection, the DH-SDT4E425-8P-GB-APV1 is suited to demanding outdoor surveillance applications including car parks, schools, warehouses, industrial sites, transport facilities, depots, large properties and perimeter security installations.
